Family Success Specialist

You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the supportive environment for students and their families through high-quality communication, meaningful events, and a variety of organisational tasks. Key responsibilities
- Daily communication: serve as a warm and approachable point of contact for families, addressing their questions and concerns in a friendly and supportive manner.
- Event planning: organise events and workshops for families, ensuring these opportunities foster strong school-family relationships.
- Organisational support: manage a variety of administrative tasks, including tracking student birthdays, organising teacher-student meetings, and ensuring timely distribution of important documents like timetables and password hubs.
- Family onboarding: support new families in their transition to the school by onboarding them to our routines, platforms, and tools, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed.
- Community involvement: help families get involved in their local communities by providing information on clubs, sports, arts, and volunteer opportunities, and support the organisation of extracurricular clubs within the school.
- Liaison between teachers and families: work closely with teachers to ensure student success by supporting communication between the school and families, offering resources, and problem-solving any issues that arise.
- Resource sharing: curate and send helpful links and resources to families on a regular basis to keep them informed and engaged with their child's progress.
- Classroom support: act as occasional cover teacher if needed.

- Background in education (Bachelor's degree or higher) and licensed to teach.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, extreme attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills — both written and verbal.
- Empathy and active listening skills.
- Creativity and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable with technology and learning new platforms.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with families and colleagues.
- Experience with planning events and handling logistics.
- First language English, more languages a big plus.
- Able to work in the Eastern Time (ET) timezone.
